Summary

  • Remove per-watch alert rules (target price, minimum saving) entirely from the API, iOS app, and server logic
  • Remove estimated net calculations from listings (was display-only for alert context)
  • Add vision-based flip prefilling: populate new flip forms from marketplace offer URLs (title, price, images, seller, condition) or purchase receipt screenshots
  • Extract URL/screenshot handling to new server/vision.ts module with OCR support
  • Update rate limiting to classify flip import endpoints as expensive operations
  • Simplify README by removing alert rules documentation

The alert rules feature (targetPrice, minSaving) only affected which listings triggered notifications and never influenced scoring, watch baselines, or the feed itself. Removing it clears that code path while improving the flip import workflow to prefill from source documents.

Testing

  • Typecheck and unit tests pass
  • Manual smoke test: create new flip from OLX offer URL (title, price, images populate)
  • Manual smoke test: create new flip from purchase screenshot (price extracted, condition/seller inferred)
  • Manual smoke test: edit existing watch — alert rule fields no longer present in form
  • Rate limiting: verify /api/flips/import/url and /api/flips/import/screenshot respect 30 req/min limit
