Summary

  • New native iOS 17+ app in SwiftUI covering the deal feed, listing triage (buy/watch/pass/hide), watches, and analytics
  • ScoutKit Swift package provides API models, HTTP client, server-sent-event parser, and demo fixtures; runs on Linux
  • XcodeGen-generated project (.xcodeproj not committed); app builds and publishes from GitHub macOS runners
  • Unsigned IPA and SideStore source published to GitHub Pages; version is 0.1.<commit count> so every build is an update
  • Live updates stream from /events; phone must reach Scout over LAN or VPN (e.g., Tailscale)
  • Deep link support: scout://listing?key=<marketplace>:<id>&watchId=<watch>

Testing

  • npm run build and other verification steps confirm the main repo is unaffected
  • CI: .github/workflows/ios.yml runs on GitHub macOS runners when ios/ or the workflow file changes
    • ScoutKit tests pass (swift test)
    • App builds as unsigned IPA (xcodebuild)
    • Simulator screenshots generated (light and dark) on demo data
    • SideStore source published to GitHub Pages
  • Local: cd ios/ScoutKit && swift test on Linux with Swift toolchain
  • Manual: Install via SideStore with free Apple ID, connect to server address, confirm deal feed, triage, and watch screens load correctly
